  • Jennifer Patterson

    Vice President of Operations

Jennifer began working at Single Throw as a Social Marketing Coordinator. From there, she moved up to Social Marketing Manager, was promoted to VP of Client Services, and now holds her current role as VP of Operations. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in Public Relations. Jennifer stumbled upon Single Throw in her job search and could not have known this would be her perfect fit. While Jennifer was always intrigued by Internet marketing, she didn’t have the opportunity to study it in college, so it wasn’t until she began working at Single Throw that she learned she was a “hard core Internet nerd.” She constantly strives to improve her Internet marketing skills through reading, attending webinars, and thinking outside of the box to remain competitive in the Internet marketing space. Jennifer understands that Internet marketing isn’t really about fancy web development, having the fastest processors, or making the snazziest graphics, though those things can help. Success at Single Throw and success in Internet marketing is all about customer service and sales. Single Throw is a heavily lead focused company, which means Jennifer spends a lot of time sharpening her sales skills. She also firmly believes in the Single Throw philosophy that clients are partners working with Single Throw towards a common goal: sales. Jennifer got to see this mentality in practice early in her career at Single Throw as a Social Media Coordinator. At the time, Savant was a small company, but through dedication and teamwork with Single Throw, they grew into a global company. Jennifer learned to translate social media posts into different languages to communicate with a now international customer base. The experience and story of success has stayed with her. Internet marketing can be a tough industry, but Jennifer sticks with it because she loves it. It changes every day, so there’s never a dull moment, but, more importantly, the clients make it worthwhile. As Jennifer says, they truly appreciate the hard work we do. When not hard at work at Single Throw, Jennifer enjoys getting up early to hit the gym, learning to cook new recipes, and spending time with her family.

  • Deborah Rodgers

    Branding Manager

Originally hired as the Client Liaison for Single Throw in early 2013, Deborah was first tasked with ensuring the on-going success of clients’ Internet Marketing efforts, as well as identify other areas of opportunity for its clients. Clients came to think of Deborah as their “secret shopper” within Single Throw who worked internally to assess how the Single Throw teams were hitting their unique goals and objectives. Shortly after taking on that role, Deborah was promoted to Brand Manager and given the opportunity to also define Single Throw’s marketing strategy and rebrand its voice. Thus, the Brand Management Department was born – the first in Single Throw’s history – that would not only ensure that Single Throw was treated as a client, but that its clients’ successes were also communicated. Prior to joining the Single Throw team, Deborah held the role of Marketing Specialist at BurrellesLuce, a leading U.S. media monitoring, measurement, and planning firm, where she facilitated content marketing efforts online and offline for more than 6 years. Marketing to communications, public relations, media relations, and marketing professionals in the B-to-B space gave Deborah a unique perspective into a variety of industries and verticals – including digital and traditional marketing to Fortune 1000 companies, government entities, hospitality, travel and tourism, healthcare, banking and finance, large PR agencies, and solo communications practitioners. While at BurrellesLuce, she created and implemented a thought leadership program that included an extensive online library of resources, blogger outreach program, and social media strategy, as well as a complete overhaul the company’s website content. All of these efforts were designed to increase leads and conversions from online marketing efforts and fueled, Deborah’s need to “uncover the data beyond the data” – a passion that she brings to the Single Throw team. “Each day I have the opportunity to be a part of an amazing team and to tout our clients’ successes – which IS the Single Throw’s success story of bringing customers to clients,” explains Deborah. “For me, it is about marketing in a way that is authentic and sincere, that produces real results that grow our clients businesses, rather than hide behind a façade and make nothing look like something.” Deborah graduated magna cum laude from Rider University in 2007 with a BA in English – Business Writing and French and Gender Studies minors. She is a Reiki Master-Teacher, herbalist (in the Wise Women Tradition).

As a Team Lead for the Search Engine Optimization Department, Jay McLeod helps increase visits and leads to client websites. He loves coming into the office ready to work with like-minded individuals who truly love what they do. After being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force in 1999, Jay began working in Internet marketing. He has worked in many highly competitive industries, such as Education, Mortgage, Auto Warranty, and Medical lead generation. From small mom and pop businesses to large multi-million dollar corporations, he has worked on all aspects of digital marketing. Jay used his many years in the Internet Marketing field to drive targeted traffic to the proper pages to help clients succeed. The experience of working on multiple industries at one single time helped him greatly during the transition to Single Throw. He believes each unique industry needs their own distinct brand of marketing. This is not a “cookie-cutter” industry; you have to be on your toes and adapt. Confucius said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Jay picked a career he not only loves, but is good at. “I could never see myself in any other industry.” Jay has a loving wife and a brilliant 7 year old daughter, and he spends all of his free time making them smile and laugh.
